Marina Riviera Nayarit at La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Mexico
RHA means water flowing in wixárika, the language of the indigenous people of Mexico’s Nayarit region. Flow, is a reference that tells us about their journey of life. The water that flows, the water that evaporates, the water that rains and returns.
RHA was born in Riviera Nayarit, in late 2016, by a band of underground house and techno music aficionados from both the US and Mexico. In the Summer of 2017, RHA was first introduced to the world, showcasing the best of global house and techno, while embracing the native Huichol culture, as well as its epic location and setting, on the shores of the Bay of Banderas.
In just its first two years, RHA has had the likes of worldwide legends like Claptone, Green Velvet, Luciano, Dimitri from Paris, Sandy Rivera, Rodriguez, Jr, Charlotte de Witte, Justin Martin, Lee Foss, Purple Disco Machine, Walker and Royce, Doc Martin, Marques Wyatt, and many more.
RHA is back at it again in 2019, furthering its commitment to quality underground dance music, with another line-up already stacked with top talent from around the globe, with a few more artists still yet to be announced, all bringing their singular strains of house and techno.
RHA will once again have 2 stages, after adding a second stage last year, set in a unique natural amphitheater, just steps from the main-stage, perched next to the ocean, providing amazing views for sunset performances and well into the early morning.
Located just a two hour flight from Los Angeles, Riviera Nayarit is off the well trodden tourist track, a land of wixárikas indigenous cultural heritage, and is in the country’s safest region, just 45 minutes from Puerto Vallarta.
Punta Mita, where RHA's festival hotel sponsor, W Punta Mita, is located, offers world class amenities, surfing, fishing and a full water sports program, boat excursions to the UNESCO protected Marietas Islands and picturesque beachfront pueblos, all surrounded by the deep blue seas of the Pacific and the spectacular Sierra Madrea Mountains.
Situated on a beautiful, sprawling, oceanfront stretch of sand, right on the Bay of Banderas, the W Hotel Punta Mita, is set within a tropical jungle, and is luxurious, whimsical, sexy, colorful, inspired, and certain to satisfy even the most seasoned festival goer. Its also super convenient as its located within minutes of the RHA venue, where RHA will be providing transportation both to and from on both nights of the fest, as well as a sexy Sunday Decompression party.
